Hume Kitchen Remodel
In this remodel, we refinished all of the 2″ oak top nailed hardwood throughout the house including the stair treads and risers. We completely removed the existing cabinets including flooring, cabinets, appliances, counters, and plumbing fixtures. The lighting was added to modern recessed lighting including LED strip under cabinet lighting. A doorway into the kitchen that was no longer being used was framed off and covered with sheet rock. In order to give the kitchen a more open feeling, a 5′ opening was cut in with an arch built to match the existing character of the home. Lacing in the hardwood into the existing dining room and carrying it throughout the kitchen and back hallway unified the main floor of the home and gave it a much larger feeling. We finished the kitchen off with Medallion Cabinetry, Kitchenaid and Zephyr appliances, Cesarstone Quartz, and a full height 3×6 glass backsplash.
